Many robots such as account creation bots, are used to cut time spent on internet marketing
In designing your robots, one of the most valuable tasks a ROBOT or BOT can complete is to scrape a website for prospects. These prospects can be either individuals or companies. Often times people or companies of like mindset are drawn together by a common element. For examples, money borrowers are reflected in the public records when the loan documents are recorded. These borrowers may want to borrow money for other projects or may eventually want to refinance their existing loans. So if you can scrape the site for borrower information, you can contact them to promote a new loan or other associated products.
Many firms have become interested in promoting their company on social media such as Facebook and Twitter. To do that an account must be created. In some cases you can design your robots to create multiple accounts that need to be created so these accounts can “talk back and forth” on a subject. Since account creation can be time consuming, a ROBOT can do the job thereby saving the time needed by a human to create the accounts.
EMAIL read and respond
When creating the accounts mentioned above, often times new accounts receive a confirmation email that requires a response to activate the account. This kind of activity can be automated with the ROBOT very easily. In addition, when marketing it is common to collect email addresses and once collected it is customary to acknowledge the email opt in with an email confirmation which may also act as a sales presentation. Further, the emails collected can them be used later to send automated periodic emails promoting products and services.
They said that content is king on the Internet now. Since people are in search of quality content ROBOTs have been created that can search for text, graphics and videos on a subject. These ROBOTs often scrape the content, spin it and send it back out on another website. The ethics and legality of this practice need to be considered when copyrighted, trademarked or patented information is involved; however, the practice has become widespread and BOTs can save lots of time in this area.
The movement of data from place to place is a science know as ETL. This stands for Extract, Transform and Load. Very extensive development tools have be created to further this effort but many of them can be quite expensive and out of reach for many marketers. As a result, ROBOTs can be created easily and very cost effectively to move data into and out off the original source and destination for many of the common marketing tasks. These tasks might include extracting so sales prospects to a spreadsheet and emailing them to an associate. Once received this spreadsheet data may be imported into a database used to created and send custom email marketing documents.
